The World Humanitarian consultation process has produced a vision for a world whose fundamental humanity is restored, that puts people affected by crises at the heart of humanitarian action and enables them to live lives of dignity. This inclusive consultation process resulted in five major areas for action, each presenting an ambition for the future of humanitarian action: dignity, safety, resilience, partnerships and finance.

Each day, we will introduce one of the Action Areas on the Blog for you to explore.

The World Humanitarian Summit was initiated by the UN Secretary-General to improve global humanitarian action. It will culminate in Istanbul in 2016.
